Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule

12-hour night shifts with a requirement for every other weekend. Floating within Women's Services may be necessary. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed for automatic offers.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 13 weeks, with the potential for 48 hours of work per week.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• EPIC experience required
• BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
• Ability to recover C-sections
• Experience with labor inductions, IUFDs, and multiple drips (Pitocin, magnesium, insulin)
• Competency in handling high-risk situations such as preeclampsia and postpartum hemorrhages
• Must circulate in OR and assist with epidurals

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care to laboring patients
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer medications and monitor intravenous therapies
• Collaborate with healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
• Assist with labor inductions and manage complications during delivery
• Participate in educational activities and maintain professional competence
