EMT or Paramedic (PRN)

Medcor is looking to hire an EMT or Paramedic on a PRN basis (as‑needed) to serve as an Onsite Health Technician at our construction site clinic in Maiden, NC. The hours for this position are Monday – Saturday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, though hours and days may vary based on client needs. Applicants should be comfortable working in a construction environment, able to climb stairs and work at heights as needed. Responsibilities Collaborate with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure. Provide patient care, ongoing workers’‑compensation case management, and Return‑to‑Work (RTW) program facilitation. Monitor treatment plans and work closely with outside medical providers. Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on‑site clinic. Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees. Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence‑Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols). Build and maintain internal team relationships; support onsite employee health and wellness efforts. Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings. Document care using state‑of‑the‑art EMR and other tools. Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs), case management, and medical charting. Maintain OSHA record‑keeping. Qualifications Valid licensure for the EMT or Paramedic position. Current CPR/BLS certification. Ability to lift a 50 lb emergency response bag. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Positive, outgoing personality and willingness to go above and beyond. Passion for delivering high‑quality patient care. Ability to work securely in a construction environment. Familiarity with EMR software and basic computer skills. Experience in emergency medicine or critical care (plus).
