Staff Accountant

Overview Here at LHH, we are partnering with a well-established and growing organization seeking an Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys reconciliation work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants exposure to a variety of accounting functions. What You'll Be Doing: Prepare and reconcile a high volume of cash and bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies. Maintain detailed reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other balance sheet accounts. Collaborate with Payroll, AP, Treasury, and operational finance teams to investigate and resolve reconciling items. Prepare journal entries and support monthly financial close activities. Partner with Treasury to ensure cash transactions are recorded accurately and in the proper accounting period. Assist with internal and external audit requests, including documentation and support for financial statement audits. Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed. What We're Looking For: Accounting degree and one year of relevant accounting experience. Strong account reconciliation experience, preferably involving cash, AR, AP, and balance sheet accounts. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
