Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Advance your nursing career in a specialized surgical environment by contributing your expertise to an Operating Room team. This contract opportunity seeks a highly skilled Registered Nurse experienced in perioperative care, eager to support a dynamic surgical suite.

Schedule:

• 36 hours per week (3x12 hour shifts)
• 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• On-call requirements include 2 weekdays and 1 full weekend day per month

Professional Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Demonstrated recent experience in Operating Room (OR) nursing
• Solid understanding of perioperative practices and AORN standards
• Experience with ENT, Gyn, General, Davinci XI robotic cases, Neuro, or Vascular specialties is highly preferred
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork abilities
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, closely collaborating with the surgical team
• Uphold aseptic technique and monitor compliance with infection control protocols
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and anesthesiology staff
• Safeguard patient safety throughout the perioperative process, including pre-op and post-op assessments and documentation
• Foster a supportive and efficient OR environment, adapting to emergent situations with composure
• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and best practices
