Job Description Summary Department Summary
This position provides strategic leadership, administration, planning, implementation, and evaluation of external operations initiatives that elevate Ohio Athletics. This position oversees marketing, fan experience, ticket operations, communications, digital strategy, and broadcasting. Athletics Marketing Strategy Oversee comprehensive marketing strategies for all varsity sports, including traditional game promotion, fan engagement initiatives, and in-venue fan experience to drive attendance, atmosphere, and overall engagement. Ticketing & Revenue Generation Provide oversight of the Athletics Ticket Office with an emphasis on ticket sales strategy, revenue growth, customer engagement, and the development of initiatives to increase ticket demand and attendance. Communications Oversee the Athletics Communications Office, providing strategic direction and support while serving as a communications contact for football. Digital Strategy Lead the Digital Strategy team in developing and executing a comprehensive digital and social media strategy, including content planning, platform growth, audience engagement, and oversight of graphic design and creative efforts. Broadcasting Provide strategic oversight of Athletics broadcasting operations, including broadcast partnerships, production standards, staffing, equipment, scheduling, and coordination with conference and network partners. Sport Administrator Serve as the sport administrator/liaison for assigned sports. Position Profile
Develops and manages marketing strategies to effectively convey the University's vision to students, employees, alumni, and the public. Markets University activities, services, or products. Analyzes target markets, develops market plans, and is involved with brand development/enhancements. Provides marketing expertise regarding advertising media or activity/service/good/program to be advertised. Marketing media types may include but are not limited to digital, print, television and radio advertising, social media, and direct mailing. Level Summary
Manages a work unit or a team and has full authority over personnel actions within the work unit. Contributes to the development of the area's operational plan, ensuring alignment with broader departmental or institutional goals. Accountable for the achievement of the unit's operational objectives, improving performance and addressing resource needs. Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages a medium-sized team. Directly oversees at least 2.0 FTE employees or one or more supervisors. Has authority to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, manage performance, discharge, assign duties, reward, and discipline employees. Fiscal Responsibilities
Responsible for managing team or department budgets and resources. Problem Solving
Addresses departmental or cross-team issues, devises long-term solutions. Independence of Action
Acts independently, with consultation with senior management. Communication and Collaboration
Facilitates communication among team and higher-level leadership, builds relationships across University. Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs. Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5 or more years of related professional experience, and 3 or more years of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
