The Packer accurately processes and ships small package orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment while following safety and operational procedures. This role uses shipping software to prepare FedEx and UPS labels, ensures same-day shipment of eligible orders, and helps maintain an organized, clean, and safe packing area.

Responsibilities

• Process and ship small package orders ranging from approximately 2 to 60 pounds in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use shipping software systems for FedEx and UPS to generate labels and complete shipments accurately.
• Load completed shipments onto designated carrier trucks according to schedule and instructions.
• Ensure all orders received before 4:00 PM are prepared and shipped the same day in line with service level agreements.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift and handle packages weighing approximately 2 to 60 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Ability to stand for most or all of the workday while performing packing and shipping tasks.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use shipping software systems.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment with changing priorities.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to operational procedures and guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience with packing, picking, inventory, or production work in a warehouse or similar environment is helpful.
• Comfort using carrier systems such as FedEx and UPS is an advantage.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to support daily shipping schedules.
• Strong communication skills to promptly raise issues that may impact shipping timelines.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite warehouse role with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The workday includes a structured break schedule: a morning break from 10:20 AM to 10:30 AM, a lunch period starting at either 12:00 PM or 12:40 PM with all staff back and operational by 1:20 PM, and an afternoon break from 2:20 PM to 2:30 PM. The facility is not temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. Work takes place at packing stations and in shipping areas where you will be on your feet for most of the day and regularly handling packages. Steel toe boots are required as part of the dress code to support a safe working environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
