Mechanic Assistant

Mechanic ApprenticeCCI is looking for a Mechanic Apprentice. The Mechanic Apprentice will work under the direct supervision of an experienced mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and incidental mechanical repairs on various customer mechanical rotating equipment. This position will also perform a variety of facility maintenance tasks. This position will be responsible for driving CCI's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eyewear is required in most working situations.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to push/pull 20 pounds for 20 feet.LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist, 20 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 20 pounds for 20 feet.HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurements will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer HPE.Offer contingent upon ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
