Meineke Car Care Center is looking for an experienced, results-driven Automotive Group Manager based in Huntsville, AL , to oversee multiple locations throughout Alabama and Tennessee.

We're looking for a strong automotive leader who knows how to develop successful Shop Managers, improve profitability, drive sales, and ensure each location operates efficiently.

This is a multi-location leadership position requiring travel between Chattanooga, Hixson, Huntsville, Madison, Bessemer, and Vestavia Hills.

Key Responsibilities

As Group Manager, you will have overall responsibility for directing and overseeing the operations of the Meineke Car Care Center locations assigned to your market.

• Multi-Location Operations: Direct and oversee daily operations across assigned Meineke locations in Alabama and Tennessee, ensuring consistent performance, efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
• Team Leadership: Manage, supervise, coach, and evaluate Shop Managers and staff while establishing clear expectations for productivity, accountability, and performance.
• Sales & Profitability: Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic oversight of sales performance, inventory management, cost of goods, and operational expenses.
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor employee productivity goals, shop performance metrics, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Staffing & Scheduling: Exercise independent judgment regarding staffing, hiring, disciplinary actions, workflow, scheduling, and other operational decisions.
• Customer Satisfaction: Resolve escalated customer concerns and implement strategies to improve customer experience and retention.
• Company Compliance: Ensure all assigned locations follow company policies, operating procedures, and established business standards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable EPA, OSHA, environmental, workplace safety, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Operational Improvements: Identify opportunities to increase revenue, reduce costs, improve profitability, and optimize shop productivity.
• Leadership Accountability: Make independent decisions regarding employee performance, staffing, discipline, workflow, and overall business operations.
• Professional Certifications: Maintain and provide evidence of all professional certifications represented at the time of hire.
• Multi-Location Travel: Regularly travel between assigned Meineke locations in Huntsville, Madison, Bessemer, Vestavia Hills, Chattanooga, and Hixson to support operations, staffing, and business performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant automotive industry experience.
• Previous automotive leadership, supervisory, or management experience required.
• Must be able and willing to travel between all six Meineke locations in Alabama and Tennessee as business needs require.
• Strong understanding of automotive repair shop operations, sales, and profitability.
• Ability to lead and manage Shop Managers and employees across multiple locations.
• Experience monitoring sales performance, inventory, operating expenses, and productivity.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to independently manage staffing, scheduling, employee performance, and operational priorities.
• Ability to enforce company policies and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
• Must maintain and provide documentation of professional certifications represented during the hiring process.
• Previous multi-location automotive management experience preferred.

Work Schedule & Availability

• Full-time, exempt management position.
• Monday- Saturday schedule
• Must work the schedule necessary to fulfill Group Manager responsibilities.
• Expected to remain reasonably available and responsive to business needs outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operational demands require, except during approved PTO or excused absences.
• Must be flexible and willing to travel throughout the assigned Alabama and Tennessee markets, including Chattanooga, Hixson, Huntsville, Madison, Bessemer, and Vestavia Hills.
