Job Summary:
Assists special education teachers with paperwork and clerical duties such as creating written notices, phone calls, scheduling appointments and scanning documents.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete parent letters and contacts from special education teachers.
- File special education documents in student files.
- Scan documents into an electric IEP system.
- Prepare forms for special education teachers.
- Copy and file progress reports each 4 1/2 weeks.
- Generate documents within the electronic IEP system.
- Generate, copy and distribute forms to general education teachers.
- Maintain special education files, keeping all information organized.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Word Processing Skills
- Communication Skills
- Organization Skills
- Ability to travel between schools during the school day.
- Must satisfactorily complete pre-employment background check and drug screening.
