Medical Laboratory Technician

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join its laboratory team. The selected candidate will perform specimen processing, laboratory testing, quality control, and accurate reporting of results while ensuring compliance with CLIA standards and hospital policies. Company: Pride Health Job Title: MLT Location: Tuba City, AZ Schedule: 8x5 | 40 hours/week Shift: Day’s Shift (8x5) Pay Rate: $2250-$2500/week Responsibilities: Perform specimen collection, processing, testing, and accurate reporting of laboratory results. Conduct laboratory testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Microbiology, and Clinical Microscopy. Follow CLIA regulations, laboratory policies, and quality assurance standards. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment. Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of test results. Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines. Participate in quality control, proficiency testing, and continuous quality improvement activities. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care. Work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as required. Requirements: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) High School Diploma plus at least 60 semester hours, including: 6 semester hours of Chemistry 6 semester hours of Biology 12 semester hours of Laboratory Science OR Completion of an approved military laboratory training program. Minimum six (6) months of clinical laboratory experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, and Microbiology (clinical training accepted). MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, or another nationally recognized certification meeting CLIA requirements) required within 18 months of hire. Must maintain active certification and continuing education requirements. Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field. Science coursework must include: 12 semester hours of Chemistry 12 semester hours of Biology 24 semester hours in Chemistry, Biology, or Medical Laboratory Science. Minimum one (1) year of clinical laboratory experience, including Blood Bank, Microbiology, Chemistry, and Hematology (clinical rotations accepted). MLS/MT certification (ASCP, AMT, or another nationally recognized certification meeting CLIA requirements) required within 18 months of hire.
