Drives adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.#productionengineeringBasic Qualifications-Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production operations.-Experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including composite fabrication, structural assembly, machining, bonded assemblies &/or installations.-Experience with MRP system or SAP or other Manufacturing Execution System (MES) application-Ability to obtain a secret security clearance after offering acceptance and willing to stay in current role/employment throughout the clearance processing period.-Candidate must have a full secret clearance prior to start.-Ability to obtain special program access within 3 months of start date with LM.Desired Skills-Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related technical field with 7+ years’ experience-Previous experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements-Experience with composite part and assembly manufacturing process.-Experience with composite part and assembly tooling.-Experience with shop floor setup and optimization.-Experience with various PLM systems including SAP, iBase-t (Solumina), Teamcenter, and/or SFM-Experience with CATIA or other related CAD software.-Experience supporting various projects and coordinating activities related to the full life cycle of projects from conception to delivery-Working knowledge of one or more organizations including: Operations, Planning, Production Control, ERP, MRP, Quality or systems integration.-Demonstrated ability to drive issues to closure and develop preventative action plan to limit failures in the future.-Demonstrated ability to solve logistical issues and lead efforts to drive mission success.-Demonstrated understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications and manufacturing planning.-Previous experience incorporating model-based engineering into manufacturing plans.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
