In the role of Specification Specialist II, we'll count on you to: Prepare design development and contract documents specifications for technical projects while ensuring compatibility with drawings and/or technical conditionsWrite technical specifications in compliance with project requirements, acceptable standards and existing laws, rules and regulations and codesPrepare bid sheet and measurement and payment section of specificationsAssist with legal and 'front end' specification, including but not limited to general conditions, supplementary general conditions, and any other necessary and related documentsHave significant breadth of knowledge with ability to recommend materials, procedures and technical specifications requirements and contents, and to oversee production of completed documents and specificationsMaintain master specification sections for use on corporate level, and modify these standard sections as construction industry changesPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Federal UFGS Specifications and SpecsIntact softwarePreference given to local candidates*LI-MJ1QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years experience working with specifications Knowledge in the ability to recommend materials, procedures, and technical specifications requirements and contents Experience with Microsoft Office An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We BelieveHDR is our company.
