Strategic Sourcing Analyst:

Our Manufacturing Client in Mississippi is in a growth mode and is looking for strong Strategic Sourcing Analysts. Opportunities on the Direct and Indirect Sides, alike.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects and initiatives supporting efficiency, optimization and savings across multiple components and materials categories such as electrical, mechanical, gas-systems and aesthetical categories. Other projects could optimize metal fabrication sourcing or key Indirect Spend initiatives.
  • Manage assigned supply base, driving continuous cost and quality improvements, including negotiation of favorable pricing, terms and conditions, bring a TCO mindset.
  • Implement best practices to improve business performance, reduce waste, and build supply chain reliability.
  • Leverage data analytics and fact-based decision making to map and drive cost reduction opportunities in close cross-functional partnership.
  • Lead sourcing events (RFI’s, RFQs, RFPs) enabling total landed cost reduction opportunities and new product development.
  • Drive effective communication and collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal operational execution and timely product delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering, finance or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, materials or supply chain roles.
  • Experience in international trade is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and cross-functional leadership/influential acumen
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MRP/ERP systems and inventory management best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
