The Shop Mechanic will specialize in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment including automotive vehicles, general shop tools, and agricultural machinery. Working as part of a small mechanic team and reporting to a shop supervisor, this role ensures all equipment operates efficiently and safely during regular day shifts without travel requirements.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain automotive, agricultural, and shop equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic testing on machinery
- Replace worn or damaged parts promptly and accurately
- Conduct safety checks to ensure compliance with standards
- Manage tools and maintain an organized work environment
- Keep detailed service and repair records
- Monitor quality control to ensure equipment reliability
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in mechanical repair
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and safety procedures
- Effective time management
- Good communication skills
