Cardiac Sonographer PRN

Job Title CASUAL POSITION VARIABLE WEEKENDS HOURS: 6:30 AM to 5 PM. Location Royal Oak Hospital – 3601 W 13 Mile Rd – Royal Oak. Employment Type Part‑time, variable shift. Weekly scheduled hours: 0.04 (weekend) frequency. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations, including: Two‑dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m‑mode Trans‑esophageal echocardiograms Exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms Saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients Instruction of medical personnel in the technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound. May act as mentor/preceptor for other ultrasonographers and/or students. Qualifications Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent; minimal experience gained at student level. Registered by ARDMS or be registry eligible; trainees paid at trainee rate up to 1 year. If unregistered, must obtain at least one (ABD or OB/GYN) within 1 year from hire. Additional registry required within 2 years from date of hire; if registered at hire, additional registry must be obtained within 1 year. RDCS or CCI status is required by department (no exemption; both parts of exam must be passed). CRT‑Vascular Tech‑ARDMS required within 1 year from hire for the vascular department. Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers at hire through American Heart Association or Red Cross. Credential Requirement Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS, ACS, or RCS credential is required. Benefits On‑demand pay program powered by Payactiv.
