Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Mechanicsburg, PA where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. The role involves evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting care, supervising discipline-specific therapy services, and participating in professional development and student education. You must follow applicable licensure, regulatory, and organizational policies and uphold patient and employee safety practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
• Active Pennsylvania state Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient (OP) physical therapy experience required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience completing comprehensive evaluations, writing goals, and developing discharge-focused treatment plans.
• Proficiency with timely, accurate medical record documentation including letters of medical necessity and charge entry.
• Ability to supervise and delegate therapy services and to participate in student education and clinical mentorship.
• Maintain professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient clinic workflows and productivity expectations.
• Familiarity with performance improvement initiatives and clinical quality metrics.

Assignment Details

• Schedule pattern: 5x8 with variable daily hours.
• Typical weekly pattern: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00–19:00 (10-hour days) and Tuesday, Friday 8:00–13:00 (some flexibility).
• Clinician may be required to follow clinic scheduling needs; floating to other nearby facilities is possible.
