Job Title - Operator 1, Forklift Job Location - Redlands, California Duration: 12 Months Job Description Pay rate: $21 Work hours: 2pm -1030pm Must have skills: 2+ years’ experience in slipsheet. Experience with multiple types of MHE - order pickers, reach trucks and counterbalance. Phone interviews 1st then possibly equip demo Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate loading and unloading of products within the distribution center. Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities) Load and off-load inbound and outbound shipments utilizing the WMS. Report discrepancies between the inventory count and shipping/receiving documents. Ensure every effort is made to load/off-load pallets in a manner that promotes safety and impedes damage. Locates and retrieves products as well as replenishes picking locations. Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities of the other warehouse positions. Assist as required. Act as back up at times of absence or vacation. Education And Experience High School Diploma or GED Must have slipsheet operation experience Knowledge And Skills Ability to obtain a forklift certification. Ability to read and interpret distribution documents. Required to operate MHE and use an RF scanner. Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills. General distribution knowledge. Proficient in the use of a PC. Strong initiative and drive for results. Physical Demands: (if applicable) The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate may occasionally be required to climb. The job may require lifting over 50lbs in some areas but not all. Associate must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate MHE [Material Handling Equipment] in a manufacturing/distribution environment. Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center. Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities) Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment) Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker. Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site. Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks. Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes). Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas. Provide backup support when required. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, preferred. 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED. Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required. Experience with Manhattan WMS, preferred. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment. Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English. Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner. Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills. General distribution knowledge. Basic computer skills. Strong initiative and drive for results.
