Cardiology Department Technical Assistant Role Overview: Provides primary technical support in the Non-Invasive Lab within the Cardiology Department, assisting physicians and ensuring smooth patient flow. Key Responsibilities Performs 2D, M-Mode Doppler, and exercise stress echocardiography as directed. Provides patient-centered care through education, explanations, and timely delivery of test results. Compiles reports for cardiologist analysis and maintains echocardiography equipment and supplies. Completes preliminary reports and adheres to infection control procedures. Participates in meetings and professional development to promote interdepartmental communication. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Ultrasound training program. ARDMS registration in adult Echo and Stress Echo, or willingness to obtain within a year. Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/AED certification. Preferred: Bachelor’s in Diagnostic Ultrasound and 2+ years of cardiac scanning experience. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay ranges from $40.00 to $60.00, based on experience and qualifications.
