Purchasing Supervisor

What We Need:

As a Purchasing Supervisor, you'll oversee the procurement process for multiple product lines, coordinate and support a team of buyers, and implement best-in-class purchasing practices. Your impact will be key in optimizing inventory levels, improving on-time delivery, and streamlining processes to enhance operational performance.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate purchasing staff.

• Direct daily workflow and schedules of the department.

• Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues.

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies.

• Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and procedures.

• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.

• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price.

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.

• Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure availability.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

• May be involved in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.

• May research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services.

• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

What You Will Need To Be Successful:

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field

• Minimum 3 year of experience in a Manufacturing environment using all of the required skills

• Must possess a good understanding of forecasting and MRP

• Must have excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills.

• The ability to work effectively within a team environment, including leading a project team.

• Must be able to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities.

• Proficient in SAP planning and production functionality and Microsoft Office.
