School Age Childcare Site Director

After School Kindness, Inc. is in search of PART TIME qualified childcare site directors who are available Monday-Friday from 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM. We provide after school care for our Charter and Private Schools in Fort Collins, Loveland and Windsor. We would like to offer you the opportunity to work in the field of childcare for school-age children (K-6) while gaining important experience working for a company that understands the importance of enriching students lives in a safe place after school!

• Location(s): Northern Colorado (Fort Collins(3), Loveland (2), Windsor (2))
• Payment: $18 to $22 per hour (depending on qualifications)
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday 2:45 PM to 6:00 PM (part-time)

Must LOVE working with children ages 5 to 12, have reliable transportation, strong communication skills, and are dependable. Our goal is to create as much consistency as possible for the children so they can have a routine they can rely on on a daily basis. You will have the opportunity to have full responsibility of your site and we are here to supply you with all the resources you will need to be successful.

• After School Hours: School Release time to 6 PM located On-Site.
• Most if not all homework checked and completed by the time you pick up your child
• After School Care: One hour of group tutoring to help with your child’s homework daily
• Specialty Instructors for fun activities (3X Per month): Sewing, Music, Sports and more!
• Arts and Crafts with Holiday themes
• Special rewards to the children for doing random acts of kindness
• Emphasis on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) teaching fun activities
• Flexibility to sub at another location if needed on emergency occasions if our “on call” subs are not available.
• Use the BambooHR app to clock in and out easily each day.
• EZchildtrack app to sign in & out children.
• ATS HUB App for CCCAP to sign in & out children.

You can arrive to the program up to 15 minutes early to set up for the day. On the tablet we provide (or you can use your phone) you will check the students in for the day. You can get creative and plan activities or we provide you with activities for your students. You will help the students with their homework by providing "group-tutoring" making sure most if not all homework is completed for each student. Once they are done with homework you will be incorporating fun and S.T.E.A.M crafts and games that we provide each of our sites. If you have more than 10 students you will be provided with your own assistant: Co-Director or an Aide. Once you have less than 7 students you can send your assistant home for the day. You will have a cleaning solution to spray down the tables and supplies at the end of each day. Each site is run the same with the same kind of structure and useful site materials. All site materials will be secured and in a large locked cabinet. You will greet parents as they sign out their children for the day on the your phone. This position will begin mid-August for 2026-2027 school year. This is a perfect part-time job for you, apply today!!

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage with school-age children during after-school hours
• Create and implement age-appropriate activities and programs that promote learning, creativity, and physical activity
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff
• Assist with homework and provide academic support daily
• Build a structured routine with the children
• Encourage kindness, respect, and cooperation among children
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• (Mandatory) Monthly Professional Development Trainings: In-person monthly (recommended) OR online PDIS Trainings w/ certificates

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with school-age children is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
• Ability to adapt to various personalities and needs
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus
• Being able to handle site inspections
