Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical, Nights

Location

Roswell, New Mexico

Schedule / Job Type

Contract – 13 Weeks | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit with a standard patient ratio of 1:6 (occasionally 1:7)
• Manage a general Med Surg patient population including post-operative orthopedic and general surgery patients
• Utilize Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry System for documentation and patient monitoring
• Float as needed, including occasional assignments to the ICU to manage step-down or Med Surg overflow patients
• Adhere to facility scrub color requirements (Royal Blue) and all applicable state compliance standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Must be able to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements prior to assignment start
• Submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR and/or Mindray Telemetry systems
• Experience with step-down or ICU overflow patient populations
