Pay: $26.67 - $28.03 per hour

Job Description:

The Telephone Operator is responsible for properly answering all incoming telephone calls, responding to inquiries, and transferring calls to the correct departments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple position telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls
• Respond to inquiries from calls as per Hospital policy
• Take and relay messages for staff members
• Maintain current file of patients' names, room location, and telephone extensions to expedite relaying calls
• Maintain list of resident doctors and technicians on call for the day

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience as telephone operator
• High School diploma or equivalency required
• Ability to operate multi-position telephone console
• Excellent communication skills
