Work Arrangement Onsite Essential Functions Develop and analyze mechanical systems for aircraft and spacecraft, including engines, airframes, and avionics. Conduct simulations, testing, and prototyping to validate designs and ensure they meet performance and safety requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into larger aerospace systems. Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential mechanical failures. Design and oversee the manufacturing and assembly processes of mechanical components, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards. Maintain accurate documentation of designs, processes, and test results. Standard Essential Functions Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule]. Embodies AEVEX's cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals and company culture. Qualifications And Competencies Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or CATIA. Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures. Understanding of regulatory and industry standards, such as FAA regulations, AS9100, and ISO 9001. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Education / Certifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus. Experience 0-3 years of experience in aerospace or a related industry.
