Hospice Patient Visitor Volunteer - Make a Meaningful Difference

Sometimes the most powerful gift you can give is your presence.
We are seeking Hospice Patient Visitor Volunteers to provide companionship and emotional support to patients facing serious illness. As a visitor volunteer, you may spend time talking, listening, reading, sharing music, or simply sitting quietly with a patient—offering comfort and connection during an important time in their life.
No medical care is involved. Just kindness, patience, and a willingness to be present.
What You’ll Do:
- Offer friendly visits and companionship to hospice patients
- Listen and provide emotional support
- Help reduce loneliness and bring comfort
- Visit patients in their homes or care facilities (based on preference)
What We Provide:
- Training and orientation
- Ongoing support from hospice staff
- Flexible scheduling
- A deeply meaningful volunteer experience
Who We’re Looking For:
- Compassionate, reliable adults (18+)
- Good listeners with a caring heart
- No healthcare experience required
Time Commitment:
Flexible — as little as 1–2 hours per week or month
