Low Voltage Technician

Job TitlePremier Fire & Security is searching for Low Voltage Technicians to join our team! We take our mission "to protect lives and property" very seriously. If you are enthusiastic about that mission, you'll make a great addition!Technicians will install, service, and repair fire alarm and security wiring as well as other various low voltage equipment (CCTV, Access Controls, Security systems, Special Hazards equipment, etc).ResponsibilitiesInstall and program new fire alarms, security systems, access control and camera systems.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm, security systems, access controls and security camera systems.Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all systemsMonitor inventory of service parts on company vehicle when training has progressed to such a level.QualificationsPrevious experience preferred in install/service of fire alarm, security systems, access control and/or cameras.2 years experience in inspections, testing and maintenance of fire alarm systems preferred.NICET Certification in Fire Alarm, and/or Special Hazards preferred.Kentucky Fire Alarm Inspector certification preferred.Familiarity with hand/ power tools, uploading/downloading/programming.Adaptability to change in an innovative technology industry, that is ever evolving.Ability to bend at the waist and knees, as some confined space work is necessary.Strong troubleshooting, computer, and critical thinking skillsStrong attention to detailTeamworkTime managementMultitaskingDecision-makingSelf-startingTimeliness and dependabilitySome travel will be required based on job site location and training requirements.Milestones for career improvement will be established to help better your knowledge of the position and aid in future wage determination.Pre-employment process includes criminal background check, physical and drug screen.
