Cafeteria Manager

Job Overview A Cafeteria Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of a cafeteria or food service establishment. This involves a wide range of tasks including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring customers receive high-quality meals in a timely manner. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. Cafeteria Managers must also be adept at budgeting and cost control to ensure the financial health of the establishment. Cafeteria Manager Responsibilities & Duties Oversee daily operations of the cafeteria Supervise and train cafeteria staff Plan menus in collaboration with chefs and nutritionists Manage inventory and order supplies as needed Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations Monitor food quality and presentation Handle customer complaints and feedback Coordinate catering events or special meal services Maintain financial records and manage budgets Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality Create staff schedules and manage shift coverage Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates and policies Ensure equipment is properly maintained and in working order Regularly review and update operational procedures Cafeteria Manager Qualifications & Skills High School degree Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role (preferred but not required) Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Familiarity withcomputers andsoftware systems Ability to work well under pressure Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Strong communication and customer service skills Basic computer skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items #J-18808-Ljbffr Ranger ISD
