Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse at a Critical Access Hospital located in Cody, Wyoming. Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with emergent conditions.
• Implement and evaluate individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and operate medical equipment safely and effectively.
• Monitor vital signs, interpret cardiac rhythms, and manage life-sustaining interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Demonstrated experience treating patients across the lifespan (pediatric, adult, geriatric) with various medical and traumatic emergencies.

• Clinical Skills: Advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, trauma nursing care, emergency assessment and intervention, EKG interpretation, IV insertion, medication administration, wound care, critical care monitoring.
• Equipment: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency (EPIC), defibrillators, IV pumps, cardiac monitors.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, ability to perform under pressure, strong organizational skills.

Licensing Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wyoming or compact state eligibility.
