As our Human Resources Business Partner, you'll partner directly with operational leaders to strengthen team performance, support employee growth, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. You'll provide hands-on HR expertise while coaching managers to become more confident, capable, and effective leaders.

This is more than a traditional HR role. You'll be a strategist, problem solver, coach, and culture champion who helps shape the employee experience from hire to retire. Your work will influence engagement, retention, leadership development, and organizational success across multiple locations.

What You'll Do

Partner with Leaders and Strengthen Teams

• Serve as the primary HR resource for managers and employees across field operations.
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
• Conduct workplace investigations and collaborate with leaders to drive effective resolutions.
• Coach managers to build accountability, improve communication, and develop high-performing teams.
• Support employee engagement and retention initiatives that strengthen workplace culture.

Support Employees Through Critical Moments

• Manage leave of absence and accommodation processes, including interactive discussions, return-to-work planning, and required documentation.
• Guide employees and leaders through sensitive employee relations and leave-related matters with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate leave records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.

Drive Operational Excellence and Compliance

• Oversee quality assurance for onboarding, recruiting, employee records management, and HR administration processes.
• Support audits and compliance efforts related to I-9s, work permits, personnel records, and employment documentation.
• Partner with payroll and operations teams to support wage and hour compliance, timekeeping processes, and workforce administration.
• Assist with workers' compensation administration, injury reporting, and safety-related initiatives.
• Ensure HR programs and processes are executed consistently across the organization.

Help Shape an Exceptional Employee Experience

• Support employee recognition, engagement initiatives, surveys, and internal communication efforts.
• Partner with leaders to foster positive team environments and strengthen workplace culture.
• Assist with the implementation of programs focused on employee development, retention, and organizational growth.
• Support company-wide training initiatives and change management efforts that drive business success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and ex-perience
• Preferred - SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR or PHR-CA credential. Maintain certification or have the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
• Proven experience in HRBP role supporting multi-unit or multi-department preferred
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Strong understanding of HR best practices, trends, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate HR policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong relationship building and problem solving skills
• Experience in talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and benefits ad-ministration.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and other HR-related software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, multi-location environment.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive employee information and situa-tions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to conduct occasional travel throughout San Diego County to our 27+ locations

Salary Description


$80,000 - $90,000 per year
