Maintenance Assistant (Full Time)
Location: Waite Park, MN WACOSA is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to help maintain our facility, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate will assist with repairs, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment. The Maintenance Assistant will also play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, fulfilling, and independent lives.
Pay: $18.76 - $20.22 per hour

The ideal candidate will assist with repairs, preventative maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment. - Perform repair maintenance on equipment, buildings and grounds.
- Maintain the grounds, landscaping and parking areas.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedules and documents maintenance done.
- Responsible for floor care, including sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, auto scrubbing, carpet cleaning and refinishing.
- Snow removal
- Maintain safety and act as a role model at all times.
- Schedule repairs on WACOSA vehicles and perform safety checks, as needed.
- Assist with pickups and delivery needs in coordination with department needs
- Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance, production equipment, janitorial equipment, chemicals, and other miscellaneous equipment/ maintenance issues.
- Must be 20 years of age or older, possess a valid MN Drivers License and insurable driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with adult lifts and transfers.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
