Occupational Therapist - Occupational Therapy Schedule
9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Weekend rotation (1 per month) Assignment Details
Contract Length: 143 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Discussed at interview Requirements
- License: OTR - Occupational Therapist (Required)
- Certification: NBCOT - NB Certification in Occupational Therapy (Required)
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Experience: More than 1 year of experience preferred, but new grads are welcome (Highly Preferred) Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient functions through formal and informal testing measures to determine skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive functions.
- Develop and implement goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on conditions, treatment options, and home exercise programs.
- Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants and students, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Document treatment interventions and patient responses following facility policies and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Promote occupational therapy through community education and participate in team conferences and interdisciplinary meetings. Compliance / Notes
- Successful completion of orientation and new hire competency training is required.
- BLS certification is highly preferred within 1 month of hire or transfer.
- Adherence to OSHA regulations and exposure control plans is required annually.
