Opportunity:Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
Job Details:Minimum of 2 weeks per month required with one weekend of call
Weekday shifts run Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with weekday call from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Weekend shifts are 24 hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM) with holiday call typically on a 1 in 4 rotation
Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
Coverage need is 2 FTE with support from 3 to 4 CRNAs on shift, plus 2 pediatric CRNAs on Fridays
Typical case volume is 3 to 5 cases per day depending on OR load
Patient population is primarily adult and elderly with light pediatrics including dental and laparoscopic cases
Practice setting is a rural hospital with 49 beds featuring 4 core ORs, a dedicated endoscopy room, C-suite, 1 flex room, and a DaVinci robot
Procedures include orthopedics (total joints, neuro spine, sports), general surgery, plastics (cosmetic and reconstruction), podiatry, OB (35 to 50 C-sections annually), ophthalmology (cataracts), and neuraxial anesthesia (spinal, epidural, combined spinal-epidural) for elective cases
CRNA-only model with no MD oversight
Active MN license and DEA required
Board Certification through NBCRNA required
Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation
Minimum 2 years of experience required with skills in nerve blocks, OB, general anesthesia, and spinals
Pediatrics experience preferred and rural health experience strongly preferred
EMR system is Cerner/Oracle
Facility:This is a rural community hospital operating with 49 beds and offering a comprehensive range of surgical services. The facility supports a robust surgical department with 4 core operating rooms, a dedicated endoscopy room, a C-suite, a flex room, and access to a DaVinci robotic surgery system. The anesthesia department operates under a CRNA-only model, providing an autonomous and collaborative practice environment for advanced practice providers.
