Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Personal Care Aide supporting schools throughout the Scranton area. This contract opportunity offers a 35-hour work week, extending through June 2027. You’ll work onsite in a variety of educational settings—including elementary, intermediate, high school, and special education classrooms—assigned based on where your skills are needed most.

Key qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Personal Care Aide in school settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Ability to adapt to a range of student needs including behavioral and emotional support
• Preference given to candidates with full credentials—provide all Pennsylvania credentials for priority consideration
• Willingness to work at any assigned school location
• Commitment to fulfilling all Pennsylvania state clearance requirements (Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting, Act 126 Child Abuse Recognition, Act 168, PATCH/Act 134, 2-Step TB or Quantiferon TB test, and recent physical)
• Flexibility, patience, and a positive, student-first attitude

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide daily assistance and support for assigned students
• Encourage independence and participation in classroom activities
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to promote student success
• Be attentive to each child’s physical, social, and emotional needs
• Maintain confidentiality and act as a positive role model
