Diesel Generator Technician

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Diesel Generator Technician based in Richmond, VA . You’ll perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of Aggreko's electrical power distribution equipment, including transformers, switchgear, load banks, cables, and related systems. This role supports both field and service center operations while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, technical standards, and customer expectations. Power without pause. What you’ll do: You’ll be based out of our Richmond, VA. service center. You’ll have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for travel. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors. Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs. You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites. You are: High School diploma/GED 7+ years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs. Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
