Position Overview – Labor & Delivery RN

As a Labor & Delivery RN, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting patients during one of life’s most important moments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Provide direct patient care, including labor support and post-delivery care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, and newborn care
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Float to other units as needed (within scope)
• Participate in on-call rotation if required

✅ Requirements

• Active RN license (state of practice)
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS (as applicable to unit)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required, BSN preferred)
• Previous Labor & Delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills
