Warehouse Assistant/Driver – Entertainment Event Warehouse Job Description

Position Summary

The Warehouse Assistant/Driver supports the daily operation of an entertainment event warehouse by receiving, organizing, pulling, preparing, loading, transporting, returning, and maintaining event equipment and supplies. This position helps ensure that staging, production, audiovisual, décor, furniture, tools, and event materials are accurate, clean, safe, properly secured, and ready for each event. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-minded, comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and able to drive company vehicles that do not require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Key Responsibilities

Receive, unload, inspect, label, and store incoming event equipment, materials, and supplies. Pull, stage, and prepare orders for upcoming events based on pick lists, production schedules, delivery paperwork, return lists, or manager instructions. Drive company vehicles that do not require a CDL to deliver and pick up event equipment, materials, and supplies from venues, client sites, hotels, production spaces, and other assigned locations. Load and unload trucks, vans, and trailers safely while protecting equipment from damage. Verify items before departure and upon return to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation. Pack, wrap, label, secure, and organize items for transport to event venues and client locations. Clean, test, count, sort, and return equipment to the proper warehouse location after events. Maintain accurate inventory and delivery records by scanning, counting, documenting, and reporting discrepancies. Communicate with warehouse staff, event crews, drivers, supervisors, vendors, and clients as needed to coordinate delivery details, timing, site access, and warehouse-related needs. Inspect assigned vehicles before and after use and promptly report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns. Organize warehouse aisles, shelves, staging areas, loading dock areas, vehicles, and workspaces to support safe and efficient operations. Operate pallet jacks, carts, dollies, and other material-handling equipment safely; operate forklifts only if certified and authorized. Follow all traffic laws, company driving policies, parking rules, loading dock procedures, site safety requirements, and company safety procedures, including proper lifting, PPE use, housekeeping, and equipment handling. Report damaged, missing, incorrect, or unsafe equipment to the warehouse manager or supervisor immediately. Support general warehouse, logistics, delivery, inventory, equipment preparation, event support, and housekeeping duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred. Valid driver’s license required; CDL is preferred but not required. Clean or acceptable driving record based on company and insurance requirements. Previous experience in warehouse, delivery, logistics, moving, staging, inventory, or related work preferred but not required. Ability to safely operate company vans, box trucks, or similar non-CDL vehicles, depending on company needs. Ability to read pick lists, labels, schedules, delivery paperwork, return lists, and basic warehouse documentation. Basic computer, tablet, or scanning-device skills for inventory and delivery tracking. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to follow instructions accurately. Reliable attendance, punctuality, flexibility, and willingness to work as part of a team. Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification if required by the employer. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier items. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, squat, and move throughout the warehouse and event sites for extended periods. Comfortable working around vehicles, loading docks, pallets, staging areas, warehouse equipment, and active event environments. Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload equipment in a variety of weather and site conditions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities, routes, and schedules may change based on event needs. Schedule and Work Environment

This role is based in an entertainment event warehouse and includes local driving to event venues, client locations, and related sites using company vehicles that do not require a CDL. The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, or changes based on event delivery, pickup, warehouse, and production needs. When not driving, the Warehouse Assistant/Driver supports warehouse tasks, loading dock activity, equipment preparation, inventory returns, organization, and general event material handling. Compensation and Benefits
