As an Armed Security Officer at a commercial real estate community, you will manage access control, monitor entry points, and provide professional customer service to residents, guests, and vendors. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, and help deter security-related incidents while communicating clearly and responding to concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $27.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, property policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Monitor vehicle and pedestrian entry points, verify authorized access credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct guests to appropriate locations within the commercial real estate property. Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, parking areas, common areas, and the property perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and access-control concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated property representatives. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice. Possess an armed guard card or license. CPR certification is preferred. Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
