POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Process Engineer II your roles and responsibilities will include:


The Process Engineer II will provide technical leadership in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process optimization, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, quality, safety, and cost reduction .
Key Responsibilities

• Optimize and troubleshoot manufacturing processes.
• Lead multiple process improvement and engineering projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, process capability, output, material usage, and cost .
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools such as 5-Why, RCCA, Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC .
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and new technology implementation.
• Analyze manufacturing data and develop process improvements.
• Work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, and other technical teams.
• Conduct process trials and support new-product scale-up.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
• Train operators, engineers, and technicians.
• Provide technical support in a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation .
• Promote and support plant safety and quality programs.

Winder, GA - Additional Focus
This position will support the startup of a new blowing-wool manufacturing line planned for 2027 .

• Extensive travel is expected during the first 6 months to other plants with similar equipment/processes.
• Serve as the plant technical contact during construction, installation, commissioning, and startup.
• After startup, become the primary process owner for the new asset.
• Equipment startup and capital-project experience would be highly valuable.

Spartanburg, SC - Additional Focus
The Spartanburg position focuses more heavily on:

• Continuous process improvement
• Product quality and process capability
• Cost reduction
• Customer-related quality resolution
• New technology implementation
• Product development and scale-up
• Technical support for a 24/7 operation

Preferred: Six Sigma/Lean/SPC experience, Green Belt/Black Belt, and polymer science or textile manufacturing experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Process Engineer II who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Process Engineer II would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
Experience: 3+ years of industrial/process manufacturing experience
