As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Clerk in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Support day-to-day operations by preparing reports, maintaining post records, and communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• The ability to comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
