Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve.A Dosimetrist who excels in this role provides medical dosimetry services for patient treatment planning in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription. Additional responsibilities include:Devises a treatment plan by means of computer and/or manual computation that will deliver the prescribed dose to a defined tumor volume in collaboration with the medical physicist.Performs dose calculations and assures complete, accurate, and timely recording of all data on all charts and forms.Instructs the technical staff in the implementation of the treatment plan.Assists in planning of compensating filters, custom shields, wedges, blocks, and other beam modifying devices in collaboration with the Medical Physicist.Assists in the selection and evaluation of purchase requests involving radioactive materials or radiation producing equipment.Maintains records of daily treatment and other records as required.Records charges accurately for procedures performed and submits charges in the Record & Verify system.Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.Observes radiation safety measures for patient and personnel.We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
