Any additional unit information? • This is a Cytotechnologist position supporting Anatomic Pathology/Laboratory Services at LBH - Sinai Hospital and LBH - Northwest Hospital • The position averages approximately 7-15 specimens per day • The traveler will spend 2 days at Northwest Hospital and 3 days at Sinai Hospital each week • At Northwest Hospital, the Cytotechnologist will provide adequacy checks for FNA EBUS/ION procedures performed in the OR • At Sinai Hospital, the Cytotechnologist will assist with FNA procedures throughout the hospital and perform slide screening... Any additional experience requirements? • Inpatient laboratory experience is required • Fine Needle Aspiration experience is required, including assisting with procedures, collection, smear preparation, preliminary diagnosis and staining • Experience providing on-site adequacy assessments is required • Non-gynecological cytology experience is required, including ascitic fluid, esophageal, gastric, spinal and respiratory specimens • Experience with bronchial and urine specimens is required • Quality control/quality assurance and specimen labeling/identification experience are required • SurePath and ThinPrep experience are required • GMS, iron and PAP staining experience are required...
