Role Description The Per Diem Group Facilitator for the compulsive gambling Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) will lead structured therapeutic groups for individuals experiencing problem gambling and co-occurring issues. This hybrid or remote role, located in Sparta, NJ, includes planning and facilitating group sessions, guiding discussions on recovery topics, and using evidence-based approaches to support behavior change. The Group Facilitator will maintain detailed documentation of group activities and participant progress, collaborate with clinical staff on treatment goals, and uphold all regulatory and ethical standards. Additional responsibilities may include participating in case reviews, contributing to program development, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment for all participants. This is a per diem role, with hours based on program needs and scheduled groups. Qualifications Ability to facilitate therapeutic groups, including strong communication, active listening, and group management skills. Knowledge of compulsive gambling, addiction recovery principles, and evidence-based counseling approaches (e.g., CBT, motivational interviewing). Skill in completing accurate clinical documentation and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary treatment teams and contribute to coordinated care plans. Empathy, cultural humility, and a nonjudgmental approach to supporting individuals in recovery. Relevant licensure or certification (such as LCADC, CADC, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent) preferred; experience in addiction or mental health treatment settings is highly beneficial. A completion of the 30 hour compulsive, gambling training or willingness to complete.
