Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, OH 44106 (Greater Cleveland / Lake Erie area)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 14, 2026 - September 12, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) - Night shift travel nurse role
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Setting: 24-bed Medical-Surgical Overflow Unit with Orthopedic focus, telemetry (Masimo) capable
• Type: Travel - Orthopedic RN / Medical-Surgical RN
• Number of Openings: 5 travel nurse openings

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a valid Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a medical/surgical, orthopedic inpatient, neuro-surgical, or trauma setting
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, TB/PPD, Fit Test, Influenza)
• Successful completion of skills checklist and competency exams prior to start
• Education and employment verification, background check, and drug screening
• Valid Driver's License or State ID for credentialing

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to adult inpatients with orthopedic, neuro-surgical, and trauma-related conditions as an Orthopedic RN / Medical-Surgical RN
• Monitor patients using advanced telemetry and Masimo technology; respond to telemetry alerts and changes in condition
• Prioritize patient safety and zero-harm initiatives consistent with hospital and travel nursing standards
• Deliver effective pain management, proactive rounding, bedside hand-off, and family-centered care to improve patient experience
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, PT/OT, case management) to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharges
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and comply with hospital policies, procedures, and competency requirements
