Other duties may be assigned.* Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas such as sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features* Make minor repairs to items such as fences, gates, or walls* Gather, remove, and dispose of trash or waste materials* Water and irrigate lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems* Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste* Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using grounds maintenance equipment* Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger* Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools* Rake, mulch, and compost leaves* Operate and perform minor repairs on grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws* Comply with safety rules, policies and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.* Stops at risk behaviors of others and self* Respond to trouble calls and cleans up spills* Communicate with co-workers, management, and customers and advises on plant selection or care* Provide information about landscaping services or costs**Qualification**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
