Dental Hygienist

Smart Arches Dental Implant Centers is seeking a part‑time Registered Dental Hygienist for our Rockville, MD office. We are a patient‑focused implant practice that delivers exceptional care in a welcoming, high‑touch clinical environment. The ideal candidate is confident in periodontal care, has experience working with dental implants and removable prostheses, and seeks a part‑time schedule every other Monday. This role is well suited for a hygienist who values quality over volume and enjoys supporting life‑changing implant dentistry alongside a collaborative clinical team. Department Operations Reports To Dental Practice Manager Schedule Ideal – 2 days per month, every other Monday. Compensation $60–70 per hour, eligible for overtime. Benefits (varies by hours worked) PTO: 1.54 hours accrued for every 40 hours worked Sick Leave: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked, maxing at 40 hours Position Summary Smart Arches is looking to hire an enthusiastic dental hygienist to join our dedicated dental team. With a steady demand for services and a loyal patient base, we are expanding our horizon. Our Registered Dental Hygienist role welcomes qualified individuals, including recent hygiene school graduates. Duties & Responsibilities Provide excellent patient care Take and develop dental X‑rays Assess patients’ oral health and report findings to dentists Document patient care and treatment plans Educate patients about oral hygiene techniques, such as how to brush and floss correctly Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned Qualifications Dental Hygiene license (required) Local Anesthesia (preferred, but not required) Knowledge & Skills / Expected Competencies Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment Essential functions include standing, walking, and using hands and arms for general office equipment. Employee may occasionally lift 10–25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel to healthcare practices may be required.
