Pediatric Radiologist

The Department of Radiology at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Medical College of Virginia campus, is currently inviting applications for a full-time pediatric radiologist. This full-time pediatric radiologist will provide specialized diagnostic radiology – pediatric imaging interpretation including CT, MR, US, fluoroscopy, and radiographs excluding interventional radiology and nuclear medicine, with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. They will also train residents within the large, highly productive academic radiology department. The Children’s Hospital of Richmond is a tertiary care Level I pediatric trauma center serving urban, rural, and suburban families in the greater Richmond area. The 211 bed Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR), recognized as one of the nation’s best children’s hospitals in eight specialties by U.S. News & World Report (2025-2026) and ranked among the top 10 children’s hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic region, offers: 250+ physicians caring for pediatric patients, covering 53 specialties. A 500,000 square foot inpatient and emergency Children’s Tower opened in May 2023, housing state-of-the‑art facilities including 72 private inpatient beds with 24 PICU beds, operating rooms, a pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit, emergency department space, and family amenities. A Level IV NICU, recently expanded as part of the hospital’s continued growth. An upcoming 24‑bed acute care pediatrics expansion opening November 2026, bringing the hospital to 235 beds. Dedicated pediatric imaging equipment including two MRI units (Siemens 3T Skyra and Siemens Sola), two dedicated pediatric CT units, pediatric radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and an EOS machine. Pediatric Level I Trauma Center. A referral reach spanning 46 states and beyond the U.S. in the last fiscal year. An active pediatric neuroscience service. A fetal MR program in collaboration with the fetal care center. Teleradiologists provide coverage for overnight studies originating from the ED.
