Must have the flexibility to work overtime as necessary due to customer needs.Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.Role assists Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. This job picks and ships orders based on customer need.Responsibilities:Driving material handling equipment such as a reach truck and/or order picker to pick orders or pull stock to replenish warehousesUtilizing pick system to pick small unit of measure items and place on cartPalletizing large items to skid and wrap for shipmentPacking small items in boxesCross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse including inbound and outboundQualifications:Must be willing to be trained and certified on all equipment within the facility1 - 2 years related experience preferredHigh school degree or GED preferredPrevious material handling equipment experience (MHE) preferredAbility to consistently lift 50 Ibs. and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or moreWork at heights up to 25 feet consistentlyMust be able to work overtime with reasonable noticeAptitude to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting hourly established distribution performance standards and ratesRadio frequency (RF) scanner and/or voice to pick experience highly preferredAdherence to site safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as composite toed safety shoes, and material handling equipment safety harness; accountable to Cardinal Health's EHS as well as QRA policies and proceduresWillingness to learn to operate material handling equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouseFamiliarity with Microsoft office products and general computer skills desiredWhat is expected of you and others at this level:Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.Self-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment with moderate to limited supervision with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures.Flexibility/adaptability coupled with good multi-tasking skills.Maintains appropriate licenses, training, and certifications.Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.Adheres to all quality guidelines.Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor.Candidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and Veterans are encouraged to apply.Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
