Staff Accountant

Soni is partnered with a client seeking a Staff Accountant for a well-established hotel accounting team in downtown Nashville . This is a fully onsite position (no remote or hybrid flexibility) supporting a fast-paced hospitality finance environment. While the internal title is Staff Accountant, this role is heavily focused on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, and guest/vendor support . Responsibilities Respond to guest, vendor, and internal department inquiries , resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Process and review invoices, payments, and checks for accuracy and completeness Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Process bi-weekly payroll and support payroll-related inquiries Provide front desk phone coverage , handling guest questions and concerns Maintain accurate files to support vendor and group billing inquiries Generate daily labor and revenue reports as needed Support general ledger research, journal entries, and account reclassifications Assist with GL functions including entry creation, queries, and reporting Ensure compliance with all hotel finance policies and SOPs Support special projects and reporting needs as assigned Maintain strong communication across all hotel departments Qualifications Minimum 6 months of accounting or accounting administrative experience required Hospitality or hotel front office/accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with AP, AR, and/or payroll processing strongly preferred College degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred Strong customer service background with professional communication skillsAbility to manage high-volume phone and guest interaction environment Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain accurate records Comfortable working full-time onsite in a hotel/corporate hospitality environment This position is 100% onsite in downtown Nashville, TN and requires regular in-office attendance including standard weekday hours and occasional weekend coverage as needed. Compensation $25–$27/ Hr | $55,000–$60,000 upon conversion Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr Soni
