Lead Massage TherapistTrapp Family Lodge is a 4-season unique mountain resort committed to providing our guests a relaxing and fun-filled vacation. We are hiring a talented and dedicated Massage Therapist looking for a leadership role. Applicant must be professional, qualified and eager to lead a team of massage therapists to provide our guests with exceptional, therapeutic and rejuvenating massage treatments during their stay. The massage department includes a small group of therapists dedicated to the art and practice of the healing benefits of massage.The Lead Therapist will provide professional and engaging massage and body treatments to our guests. This is a management position and in addition you will be responsible for recruiting, hiring and training other massage therapists as well. We serve our hotel guests, timeshare & villa owners and community members. Our therapists foster a professional and trusting relationship with our guests, which create a rewarding workplace and repeat-clientele.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide therapeutic and healing massage services to guestsRecruit, hire, conduct and interview new massage therapistsProvide orientation and facilitate trainings for massage therapistsMaintain positive work environment by facilitating solution-oriented discussions for therapist's concernsEnsure all treatments are performed according to current protocolsMonitor employee performance and provide job evaluationsEnforce TFL policies with massage therapists as written in the Employee HandbookCreate, maintain and implement staff schedule (Square UP) and time off requestsOversee massage bookings / collaborate with FC desk attendant to rectify all errors on Square Up in advanceOversee massage booking cancellation policy and enforcement of policyForecast hiring needs and the need for additional shifts according to seasonSolve coverage of team shifts due to absenceProcess necessary paperworkMaintain inventory of department formsParticipate in reviewing department brochures or posters for advertisingModel exceptional customer service for your staffAbility to understand guest service needsRespond to customer queries, needs and expectations to ensure guest satisfactionIncrease and encourage repeat massage businessUphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulationsOversee and enforce the cleaning schedule of waiting room and massage suite areaDocument and report health or accident incidentsNotifies manager of hazards, injuries and repair needs that negatively affect operationsCreate and adhere to annual budget for massage departmentOrder and maintain all necessary equipment for the massage waiting area and suiteParticipate in linen, equipment and the massage product inventory and report needs to FC managerVoice challenges and specific concerns to leadership teamAct as a liaison between massage therapists and FC desk attendants and leadership teamBe familiar with all hotel services and featuresOpportunity to create new treatments to add to the menuStay current on state legislative developmentsQualificationsCompletion of an accredited massage therapy program/Certified/RegisteredLeadership and supervisory experienceOrganizedSolution OrientedInterpersonal skillsPerceptiveFlexibilityCreativeMust pass background check
