Robot Technician – 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday) Pay is based on experience. Job Summary The Robot Technician is responsible for installing, programming, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing robotic systems and automated equipment used in manufacturing operations. This position ensures robotic equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime to support production goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install, configure, and test robotic systems and automated equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on robots, conveyors, sensors, and automated machinery. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and programming issues. Diagnose and repair robotic equipment, including motors, drives, sensors, and controllers. Program and modify robot functions using teach pendants and PLC systems. Calibrate robotic equipment to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety. Monitor robot performance and make adjustments to improve production output. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and inventory documentation. Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to resolve equipment issues. Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety procedures. Qualifications Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience with industrial robotics, automation, or maintenance. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and programming preferred. Knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Preferred Experience Experience with robotic systems such as Yaskawa/Motoman, Fanuc and ABB. Knowledge of automated manufacturing processes and conveyor systems. Understanding of industrial networking and automation controls. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in manufacturing environments for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
