Actively Interviewing for Lab Technologist - Day Shift to join medical laboratory in Norcross, GA!

Description

• Responsible to perform laboratory testing assigned to the department.
• Maintain knowledge of all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required to perform effectively.
• Maintain excellent communication with the Department and other Laboratory Services personnel.
• Competently perform all assigned departmental duties. May perform Pre-Analytical tasks (receipt, qualification, and preparation of samples for testing), CLIA waived tests, and moderate and/or high complexity testing on patient, donors, or biologic products using routine chemistries utilizing automated / semi-automated methods with internal support systems.
• Recognize and report unusual test results in a timely manner to appropriate management.
• Operate equipment utilizing established protocols and within quality control limits.
• Recognize equipment malfunctions and/or technical problems and take appropriate steps to resolve.
• Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Prepare and maintain reports/records and perform computer data entry.
• Maintain departmental supplies within established inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree within the Life Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry.
• Experience working within a lab preferred. Can be academic or industry.
• Attention to detail

Work Environment

This position is a day shift position from Sunday - Tuesday with a rotational Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday with a rotational Wednesday from 7am -7:30pm. Training will be 4-5 weeks on the day shift (timing might vary).

This is a Contract position based out of Norcross, GA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Norcross,GA.
